We have had an amazing year with Briercrest Athletics and God has been so good!! Here are a few of the highlights:

The 2022-23 season saw multiple first-time achievements for Briercrest Athletics, including:

• First time hosting an ACAC Women’s Basketball playoff home game
• First time hosting an ACAC Men’s Hockey home playoff series
• First ACAC medal won by our Women’s Basketball program
• First time being awarded the ACAC Athletic Director of the Year
• First time having one of our student-athletes win the ACAC Top Scholar Award for Men’s Hockey
• The first time we have hosted ACAC home playoff games for four different sports in one season

We also had multiple records set for our department this season:

• The most BA graduating student-athletes we have had in any year for Briercrest Athletics
• The most ACAC regular season wins in a season for our Men’s Hockey team
• The most ACAC regular season wins in a season for our Women’s Basketball team
• Our Women’s Volleyball program extending their ACAC Championship Tournament appearance streak to 10 straight years
• Having the most ACAC League & CCAA National Awards that we have ever been honored with in a single season, with 16 across our five Briercrest Clipper teams   
• The highest attendance ever at our 2022 Briercrest Summer Sports Camps

Some of our other most significant highlights include:

• Our Men’s Volleyball team capturing their second ACAC Championship banner
• Our Men’s Volleyball team placing third in the country at CCAA Men’s Volleyball Nationals
• Men’s Volleyball Head Coach, Nigel Mullan, earning his 200th career ACAC regular season win
• Being honored with the ACAC Male Athlete of the Year Award (across all ACAC sports) for one of our student-athletes
• Receiving two ACAC Coach of the Year Awards
