Re-Visioning Relationships

Posted: November 15, 2007

Briercrest organized a conference entitled Re-Visioning Relationships: First Nations Communities and Theological Education in Dialogue, inviting several prominent Native Christian leaders to share from their Aboriginal experience. Those attending were comprised of staff, faculty, students, and guests, totaling about 250. In the morning plenary sessions, Terry LeBlanc and Ray Aldred challenged several facets of Western culture from the perspective of the Native worldview. Six afternoon sessions were presented by Native leaders expressing the critical issues that surround their ministries. The day after the conference, Briercrest leadership met with these Native leaders to exchange ideas and affirm our long-term commitment to dialogue and remain in search of ways we can mutually benefit one another.
