Elevate nominated for WCMA and GMA Covenant Awards

ELEVATE Elevate has been nominated Outstanding Christian Recording Artist of the Year for the Western Canadian Music Awards to be announced in Moose Jaw, SK, on October 21. The song Consistency, written by Jason Bergeron and recorded on their latest album There in the Silence has also received nomination for Praise and Worship Song of the Year at the Gospel Music Association Covenant Awards being presented in Calgary, AB, on October 26.

The band is thrilled to be one of 58 artists chosen to perform at the WCMA award festival, having been selected from a pool of over 300 applicants from the festival lineup.

At the GMA Covenant awards, Elevate is matched against an impressive lineup of artists in their nomination category including Evangeline Inman, Brian Doerksen, Jon Bauer, and a song composed by Glen Teeple, Martin Smith, and Jeff Teed.

Elevate is an extension of the ministry of Briercrest College and Seminary and is made up of five Briercrest students. This year’s returning members include Andrew Stanley (lead vocals/rhythm electric guitar) and Dave Siverns (background vocals/lead electric guitar). Nathan Lockley (keyboard/loops), Thomas Staples (bass guitar), and Brady Van Leenan (drums) are new members this year.
