JOB SUMMARY

The recruitment and marketing departments represent Briercrest Christian Academy, College & Seminary to external audiences including prospective students, parents, alumni and key influencers. The work of this department is to connect external people to what God is doing on this campus. This work has a direct impact on the growth and stability of the institution.

The Briercrest Christian Academy (BCA) Admissions and Marketing Coordinator is a marketing and sales position. This position has a two-fold focus.

Half of this role is focused on Marketing. By this we mean content creation for social media, website, and advertising. This person will create original text, photo, and video content, while providing regular reporting for leadership. Ultimately, this person will manage the Briercrest brand for the BCA audiences in a cohesive way to achieve our BCA marketing goals.

The other half of this position is focused on Admissions. This position works on finding prospective families for whom BCA would be a good fit and serving those families throughout the enrolment process.

  • High aptitude for learning new software, technology and digital tools
  • Professional writing skills
  • A clear criminal record as verified by a criminal record check
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have a significant connection to Briercrest Christian Academy, College, and/or Seminary
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have earned a bachelor’s degree
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have customer service, sales or marketing experience
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with CRM software, graphic design, or social media management

DESIRED OUTCOMES AND ACTIVITIES

1. Marketing:

  • Email marketing.
  • Build and manage campaigns for established department goals for Briercrest Christian Academy including but not limited to:
  1. Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content. (e.g. original text, photos, videos, and news)
  2. Manage select BCA social media accounts through scheduling, posting, listening, and responding.
  3. Collaborating with the creative team, help to develop campaigns from concept to final rollout.
  4. Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences.
  5. Help to curate a social media brand aesthetic that is visually appealing and brand consistent.
  6. Listen to, respond to, and engage with audiences across BCA social channels.
  7. Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions.

2. Lead Care: Priority focus given to guiding families into and through the enrolment process.

  • Responsible for accurately projecting mission, vision, values, culture, and student experience to prospective families.
  • Responsible for identifying and responding to the informational needs of prospective families.
  • Focus on breaking down barriers and assisting prospective families throughout the decision-making process.
  • Responsible for effective communication, data management and timely response

Admissions Processing: Serve all BCA applicant families with thorough and comprehensive customer service.

  • Responsible for administering the application process.
  • Responsible for identifying and responding to the informational needs of applicant families through effective communication. 
  • Develop a clear understanding of all Briercrest Christian Academy admissions requirements and policies and communicate those effectively to prospective families.

Event Management: Responsible for planning and facilitating a wide arrangement of recruitment events including but not limited to:

  • On-campus open house events
  • Local prospective student events
  • Personal campus visits
  • Athletic showcase events
  • Virtual open house events

General Administration: Administrative expectations include but are not limited to:

  • Respond to email, text, social media and phone messages promptly within one business day.
  • Participate in weekly individual meeting with supervisor.
  • Highly organized and prepared in all aspects of work.
  • Collect and accurately enter data.
  • Report development and distribution interdepartmentally
  • Provide coverage for team members when they are out of the office.
  • Work continually to become an expert in delivering up to date Briercrest information.
  • Be prepared to participate in various externally facing institutional events.
  • Participate in other recruitment related duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.

TEAM RELATIONSHIPS

  • Reports to the Director or Recruitment. In their absence, will report to VP of External Relations.
  • Works closely with the Director of Marketing.
  • Works closely with BCA Principal and lead team.
  • Is a member of both the Recruitment team and the Marketing team.
  • Works closely with Prairie Hockey Academy and other school partners
  • Part of the External Relations division
