QUALIFICATIONS

  • A proven track record in project management
  •  Strong self-starter
  • Collaborative team player with strong networking skills
  •  A mature understanding of higher education philosophy and practice
  •  Proven administrative skills including information and financial tracking systems
  • Ability to comply with details and timelines
  • Proven ability to communicate well verbally and in writing
  • Proficient in planning and coordinating conferences, symposiums and other events
  • High levels of professionalism and ethical behaviour

DESIRED OUTCOMES AND ACTIVITIES

  • To act as the point person for this project - collaborating with the Marketing Department to send communications out and handle inquiries about the project 
  • To build momentum and generate community engagement for project success
  • To be attentive and responsive to feedback
  •  To administrate Sacred Side Hustle and other events, and manage subsequent participant networking  opportunities. This will include event planning, tracking registrations, arranging and managing logistics, ensuring participants are added to the community and have access to resources, and conducting reviews of events.
  •  To administrate symposiums for Canadian denominational leaders in conjunction with the Seminary Dean. This will include compiling a list of potential invitees, promoting the event, tracking invitations, arranging logistics of site/food/accomodations/travel recording key findings, and conducting a review of the event.
  • To assist the Project Manager in reporting to Lilly in collaboration with other team members. This will include compiling research, tracking project finances, gathering participant stories, and other data.

TERM

  • This is a 15-20 hour per week, one year long contract, with possibility for renewal.

TEAM RELATIONSHIPS

  • The Admin and Events Coordinator reports to the Leadership Centre Coordinator, with a “dotted line” relationship to Seminary Dean for symposium planning.
