Clippers Clip Broncos in Weekend Sweep

The Clippers and Broncos took each other on in the rematch Saturday afternoon. The Clippers coming out with a 3-1 win in a weekend sweep.

The Clippers played a solid match against the Broncos, both teams came out looking to win, but the Clippers wanted it more. The scores coming to 25-23, 23-25, 30-28, 25-17. Starting the match was a powerful push from the Broncos, coming out to a 11-15 lead. The Clippers answered to this quick with a 13-2 run, The Clippers finished off the set 25-23.

The second set was back and forth for both teams, the Broncos finding a 6-1 drive at the middle of the set. The Clippers came back, but the Broncos proved to come up on top, finishing off the set 25-23, #14 Tyson Deschene was notorious, with 7 kills and 7 digs in this set

In the third set both teams came out with immediate momentum, the score being 12-15 for the Broncos in mid set. Later in the set it got intense going back and forth every point, extending the set all the way to 30-28 for the Clippers, earning the set over the Broncos.

The fourth set was huge for the Clippers, as they found domination over the Broncos early on in the set, pushing the score to 15-10. The Broncos couldn’t find a drive and played a mediocre set. Resulting in the Clippers dominating, finishing with a 25-17 score.

Player of the game for the Clippers was #8 Jared Krogen with 10 kills and 6 aces, and for the Broncos #14 Tyson Deschene was player of the game with 15 kills and 15 digs.

The Clippers take on the Kodiaks on Friday at 8:00pm on November 2.
