Volleyball

After splitting at SAIT this past weekend, the Briercrest volleyball teams are back in action this weekend as they continue their charge towards the playoffs. This weekend will have playoff implications both Briercrest teams.

These will be the last home games of the season as well as Friday serving as Senior's night where graduating volleyball student-athletes will be recognized.

The CCAA fifth-ranked Briercrest women's volleyball team (16-4) currently sits in second place in the ACAC South division two wins behind Red Deer College (18-2). They face a first-year Ambrose team (5-17) that has handed Red Deer one of those two losses and sits in a three-way tie for fifth in the division.

On the men's side Briercrest (11-9) currently sits outside of the playoff picture in fifth place. They are looking up at Lethbridge College (13-9), whom they have played two less games than, and SAIT (12-8). Ambrose (4-18) is looking for their first ACAC victory over a team other than Olds.

Game times are Friday, Feb. 13 at 6:00 (women) and 8:00 pm (men) and Saturday, Feb. 14 at 1:00 pm (women) and 3:00 pm (men). All games are at the Margaret P. Reimer Memorial Gymnasium.

Streaming of the games can be found at acac.tv.
