Jachin Karg– 3rd Year - #11 – Wing Spiker – Chestermere, AB  – Business Administration

Vertical has never been a problem for Karg, nor has the game of volleyball. This 6’3” wing spiker from Alberta has been turning heads around the conference with his sky-flying vertical, his aggressive arm swing and his poise through it all. Jachin Karg is a name that other teams have become aware of and this 3rd year business major plans on finishing this year strong.

Karg’s leadership is further than an on-court presence, as his off-court relationships are full of investment, true character and a warm heart.

Karg is true to his roots and continues to press on in his future with his family behind him 100%.

“Family is one of the most important things in my life and I have such an amazing support line behind me every step of the way,” Karg explained.

More than half-way through his college career, Karg has plenty of highlights of his time at Briercrest.

His number one highlight is this past year. In March of 2014, Karg, along with the rest of the men’s team, were able to host the CCAA nationals where along with the team, Karg was able to come home with a silver medal after a strong performance.

A second highlight of Jachin’s are the great team trips that he has been able to be a part of including the teams Christmas trip in 2013 to Phoenix, Arizona.

Karg has had both ACAC and CCAA recognition as being presented with ACAC conference all-star selections as well as CCAA Nationals 2nd team all-star in 2014; watch for this high-flyer to be making another impact on the court through the latter half of this season.
