The regular season kicks off for the Briercrest men's hockey team this weekend as they host NAIT for the season opening alumni weekend. The regular season ends for softball as they play five games in Saskatoon this weekend. Briercrest men's volleyball travels to BC for the annual ACAC-PACWest challenge.

Hockey

Briercrest men's hockey looks to start the 2014-15 ACAC strong as they face perennial powerhouse NAIT for the season opening alumni weekend. After sitting at the top of the ACAC standings at the end of the 2013-14 regular season NAIT fell to SAIT in the ACAC Championship. They will once again have a strong team, and it will be a strong test for the Briercrest team to start the season.

This weekend will also serve as the Briercrest Hockey Alumni weekend and there will be several Alumni activities and games throughout the weekend. As part of the Home Opener festivities the Briercrest Student Union will be hosting a Pep Rally at 6:00 pm outside of the Barkman Arena.

Briercrest will host NAIT at the Barkman Arena, Friday, Sept. 26 at 7:00 pm and Saturday, Sept. 27 at 2:00 pm.

Softball

This weekend will be the final five regular season games of the Briercrest softball team's inaugural 2014 WCSA season before playoffs next weekend. 

The team will be traveling to Saskatoon for five games. They begin the weekend with a doubleheader against the University of Saskatchewan at Bob Van Impe Stadium at 6:45 and 8:30 pm. They then play the University of Saskatchewan at 11:00 am and 5:00 pm with an exhibition game against the University of Alberta sandwiched in the middle at 3:00 pm. All games will be played at Bob Van Impe Stadium in Saskatoon.

Volleyball

The Briercrest men's volleyball team continues their busy exhibition schedule in BC as they compete in the annual ACAC-PACWest Challenge at Douglas College in North Vancouver.

They open the tournament against Capilano College at 6:00 pm Thursday, Sept. 25 before playing Vancouver Island at 4:00 pm on Friday, Sept. 26. They end the weekend with two games on Saturday, Sept. 27, against Columbia Bible College at 11:00 am and Douglas at 4:00 pm.

Basketball

The Briercrest men's basketball team kicks off their 2014-15 season with two exhibition games in Manitoba this weekend. They kick off the weekend Friday, Sept. 26 at Canadian Mennonite University for an 8:00 pm game followed by a Saturday, Sept. 27 game at Red River at 3:00 pm.
