Briercrest hockey and softball host the University of Regina in mid-week games Tuesday and Wednesday respectively this week.

Men's volleyball heads to Alberta for three games in Lloydminster and Edmonton, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, while women's volleyball travels to Olds for four games.

Softball

Briercrest fans created a great atmosphere at the Briercrest softball program’s inaugural home opener last weekend and the team returns to Optimist Park in Moose Jaw for another double header against the WCSA league leading University of Regina Wednesday, Sept. 10 for a pair of night games.

Game will again be played at the Optimist Park, which is on the 500 block of Lillooet St. W in Moose Jaw.

Game times will be at 6:00 and 8:00 pm.

The team then travels to Medicine Hat for five games, beginning Friday, Sept 12 with a double header against Lethbridge at 6:00 and 8:00 pm at Moose Diamond 1. Then on Saturday, Sept. 13 they play a double header against Calgary at Moose Diamond 1 at 12:00 pm and 2:15 pm before finishing their weekend against Mount Royal at 6:30 pm on Moose Diamond 2.

Hockey

After their first taste of the 2014-15 pre-season against Melville (SJHL) last weekend, the Briercrest hockey team returns to Barkman Arena to face the University of Regina tonight, Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 7 pm for their first home game of the 2014-15 exhibition season.

The University of Regina Cougars (CIS) will be a strong test for Briercrest as they compete in the Canada West Conference of the CIS. It will be a great taste of what the 2014-15 edition of the Briercrest hockey team will look like as they tune up against high level competition prior to the 2014-15 ACAC regular season.

Volleyball

The Briercrest men's and women's volleyball teams kicks off their 2014-15 exhibition schedule this weekend with three games against ACAC North division opponents.

The men's volleyball team begins their exhibition schedule Thursday, Sept. 11 against Lakeland College in Lloydminster at 8:00 pm, before traveling to Edmonton to face NAIT at 8:00 pm Friday, Sept. 12 and King's at 2:00 pm Saturday, Sept 13.

Women's volleyball travels to Olds to play four games in three days against ACAC North division opponents. They kick off their season Friday, Sept. 12 against King's at 7:00 pm, followed by games against Concordia and NAIT at 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm respectively on Saturday, Sept. 13. They conclude the tournament against Grande Prairie Sunday, Sept. 14 at 12:00 pm.
