Second year outside hitter Elly Wendel was a key component of Briercrest two huge victories over the number two-ranked team in the country this weekend!

Briercrest handed the Grande Prairie Wolves their first losses of the season and improved to 7-3 on the year with a thrilling 3-2 victory on Friday night and a solid 3-1 win on Saturday. In those nine sets of volleyball, Wendel put up an outstanding 37 kills. The Caronport native also added to her league-leading aces per game average with an amazing 11 service aces. Defensively, she had four stuff blocks, and also contributed 31 digs.

The Biblical Studies major averaged almost 6 points per set against one of the top teams in the ACAC and CCAA and led her team to two huge victories!
