After taking the first set of the match, Briercrest women’s volleyball was unable to defeat the numbers ACAC top ranked NAIT Ooks on Saturday afternoon losing 3-1 (17-25, 25-18, 25-23, 25-16).

Briercrest’s win in the first game was only the third game that NAIT has lost this season. The first two losses also came at the hands of Briercrest the night prior.

Player of the game for Briercrest was Mikayla Reinhardt with 11 kills and 12 digs.

Game Notes: Briercrest held the advantage at the net with six blocks to NAIT’s 3 while each team had 40 kills. NAIT had eight service aces and 85 digs to Briercrest’s four and 79.

Briercrest leaders for the game were Elly Wendel with a game high 14 kill to go with 12 digs and 1 block, Erin Anderson with a game high two aces and three blocks, and Brooke Peterson with a game high 19 digs.
