Women's volleyball loses exciting match against CCAA 7th ranked NAIT

Briercrest women’s volleyball lost a tight match against the ACAC leading and CCAA seventh ranked NAIT Ooks 3-2 (19-25, 25-22, 20-25, 25-18, 18-16) Friday night.

The two games that Briercrest won in the match were the first two losses that NAIT has experienced this season.

Player of the game for Briercrest was Elly Wendel with a game high 12 kills and team high two aces to go with her 20 digs and two blocks.

Game Notes: It was a very evenly played game with NAIT holding a slight advantage in kills and digs, 45 and 106 respectively to 29 and 98 for Briercrest, while Briercrest held the edge in aces and blocks with nine  11 to NAIT’s seven and nine.

Other Briercrest leaders for the game were Brooke Peterson with 25 digs, and Erin Anderson with a game high five blocks to go with three kills, and three digs.
