Briercrest to host Jerry Krause at basketball camp

Briercrest Athletics will host a basketball camp in June that will see one of the game’s best minds come to the campus.

Clipper basketball and the Athletic department is looking forward to having the opportunity to have Hall of Fame coach Jerry Krause come to visit Briercrest College and Seminary's campus to host a basketball clinic.

The clinic sold out very quickly, with coaches and players from around the province confirming their attendance.

Head Coach Gene Wolverton says he is looking forward to meeting Coach Krause and watching him be the expert as he teaches both coaches and players on how to improve at each of their level of basketball.

This is a skill that very few have mastered, but Coach Krause is known as one of the best in North America and beyond.

“Our basketball community in Saskatchewan is always eager to learn and improve as are we at Briercrest College [and Seminary] with our basketball programs," said Wolverton.

"Coach Krause has many years of experience coaching the game of basketball and running practices with the success to back it up. I am looking forward to learning new drills and coaching techniques from him during the clinic.  I want my program to be a championship program and I believe that this clinic with Coach Krause will help continue to move us towards that goal.”

The clinic will take place on June 5 and 6 at the Margret P. Reimer Gymnasium.
