I trust you all had a great weekend. On Friday night I joined our Awaken Team again for a youth gathering at Uxbridge Baptist Church and again – they did a fantastic job. I have started to connect with friends and supporters of Briercrest here in Ontario and I have been so encouraged with their words of affirmation and appreciation. We have some wonderful partners and alumni out in the field cheering us on.

I wanted to give you a thought today. My personal quiet times continue in Jeremiah, and this is, as you know a pretty dark book. However, let me start your week with Proverbs 22:29: “Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve before kings; he will not serve before obscure men.” Here at Briercrest we are seeking to shape and equip lives that will appear before kings and queens. Yes, we want to produce servants willing to do anything, but we also want to produce highly skilled and competent influencers for the church, the marketplace, government, and beyond. What we do today matters.

Have a wonderful day.

Partnering together,

Michael
