Wes Olmstead has served on the faculty at Briercrest College and Seminary since 1989. Before coming here, he worked as a youth pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Drayton Valley, Alta. He has studied at Briercrest College and Seminary, the University of Waterloo, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and the University of London. His Ph.D. work culminated in the publication of a book on three of Jesus' parables in Matthew's gospel. Since the fall of 2000, he has served as academic dean in the college and, since 2005, as vice-president academic. Although he teaches across the New Testament, his first love is Gospels studies. Wes is married to Faith, and they are the proud parents of two teenagers, Bryn and Brooke.
