Who is Refined/Undignified?
Refined/Undignified is made up of past and present Briercrest students who share a common goal: to reveal the gospel message through hip hop, lyrical dance, and drama. Our vision is to bring hope to our hurting generation, and our passion is to see God use our gifts of dance and drama for His glory.
Refined/Undignified is a group of Briercrest College students who are passionate about using the gift of dance to glorify God and present the gospel to youth “where they’re at.” Our name comes from 2 Samuel 6:22 and Zechariah 13:9. These verses explain how we want to glorify God with our lives. We combine hip-hop and lyrical dance with drama to present a story of the choice we have to follow Christ—this is the hope we want to share with youth. We also do workshops that get the audience involved in learning some of our dances and allow us to show people how to dance in a way that glorifies God. We love spending time outside of our shows and workshops to talk, hang out, and hear YOUR stories.

Strangest thing I have ever eaten: A giant rat called a Gibnut in Belize....mmmm good.
Why I love dancing with RU: I love the people, the team and the amazing youth we have the opportunity to meet at our shows...the dancing part is pretty great too!

Why I love dancing with RU: I love being a part of the team because i know it is where God wants me right now. I love each person on the team, and their hearts for God. I also love meeting new people and seeing how God works in us and through us. God has given me a huge heart for performing, and is allowing me to use that through dance which has always been a part of my life. It is so much fun, and such a growing experience. Plus, I love Jesus :).

Why I love dancing with RU: Dance is a huge part of my heart, and God creatively uses this team to serve youth and build relationships with them to help them understand they are loved by God. I'm so blessed to be a part of it.
