Experiential Ministry

Associate of Arts

The Associate of Arts Experiential Ministry was developed as a means to partner with churches, denominations and/or para-church organizations, to allow students to gain practical experience through multiple internship placements in addition to classroom learning. Graduates can in turn move seamlessly into particular BA programs at Briercrest College.

Graduation Requirements

  • the completion of 63 credit hours of study
  • 42 credit hours of coursework through Briercrest
  • the completion of 21 credit hours of ministry required courses (internships)

Christian Ministry (12 credit hours)

CM 101 Foundations of Christian Ministry
9 credit hours from the following disciplines:
Christian Ministry, Global Studies, Pastoral Studies, Worship Arts, Youth Ministry

Arts and Science (12 credit hours)

12 credit hours from the following disciplines:
Anthropology, Biology, Classics, Computer Science, Economics, English, Geography, German, History, Interdisciplinary Studies, Kinesiology, Mathematics, Mandarin, Modern Languages, Native Studies, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, Women's Studies

Ministry Required Courses (21 credit hours)

21 credit hours of experiential ministry internships in Christian Ministry, Worship Arts, or Youth Ministry.
