When to Pay

Payment is due in full on Registration Day in the fall semester and the first day of class in January unless an alternate plan is set up according to the payment plan options below. 

How Much to Pay

Tuition and Fees can be calculated according to the student's situation. Payment amounts and payment plans will be sent to all parents/guardians prior to the start of school if a payment agreement has been submitted. Accounts can be viewed on Briercrest Live (Finance/Generate a Financial Statement) during the school year. How Fees are Billed

Tuition and Room and Board are billed in two installments. The first installment is billed at the beginning of Term 1 (September) and the second is billed at the beginning of Term 2 (January). These installments include the fees for Term 3. No additional Tuition or Room and Board is charged in Term 3 (though other fees may be, so please watch your statement). Please see below for fee breakdowns between semesters and how refunds are handled.

A Payment Agreement that selects a Payment Plan must be submitted by all students to receive access to course registration.

2 PAYMENTS

Two installments that cover tuition, room and board (where applicable) and standard fees for the year.

Fall: due on Registration day

Winter: due on the first day of classes in January

8 PAYMENTS

Tuition, room and board and standard fees for the year broken into 8 equal payments, September-April. First payment is due Registration Day (September), subsequent payments due on a monthly basis (October - April). A one-time financing fee of $100 will be charged at the time of registration with no interest fees if payments are made on time. 

PERSONAL PLAN

Approval of personal plans will be granted by the Student Financial Adviser prior to Registration Day. Please note: personal payment plans will only be granted in exceptional cases.

Interest

A finance charge of 1.5% per month or 18% per annum will be applied to all past due accounts.

Missed and Non Payment Policy

Should the signed financial agreement not be fulfilled, students will not be permitted to write exams until payment has been received or an approved payment plans has been implemented. Final marks and/or requests for transcripts will not be released if the student has an outstanding financial obligation to Briercrest Collegge and Seminary or Caronport High School.

Fee Breakdown and Refunds

LATE ARRIVALS

Students who enter school late do not receive any reduction of fees for tuition, room, or board.

TUITION REFUNDS FOR WITHDRAWALS

  • Within 10 school days of Term 1 or 2: full tuition refund minus deposit of $150
  • Up to 30 school days of Term 1 or 2: 50% tuition refund
  • After 30 school days of Term 1 or 2: no refund
  • No tuition refunds for Term 3

TUITION CHARGES FOR PARTIAL YEAR ATTENDANCE 

A. Attend Term 1 only 50% charged
B. Attend Terms 1 and 2 100% charged
C. Attend Term 2 only 50% charged
D. Attend Terms 2 and 3 60% charged
E. Attend Term 3 only 20% charged

NOTE: No tuition refund will be issued to students who leave for Term 3.

ROOM AND BOARD CHARGES AND REFUNDS

Room and Board is charged 50% in Term 1 (September) and 50% in Term 2 (January). 20% of Term 1 and 2 payments goes toward pre-paying Term 3. 

When a student leaves school mid-term, Room and Board fee refunds are calculated at $120 for each full calendar week remaining until the end of the current term.

If a student leaves in or after Term 1 or 2, the full amount of room and board fees that has been pre-paid for Term 3 will also be refunded per the breakdown above.

Donation Receipt

Donation receipts are issued for a portion of the tuition paid because religious teaching is included in the curriculum.  The parent/guardian may claim this as a tax credit. Over the last five years the amount of the donation receipt ranged from 50% - 85% of tuition paid.
