Women's Volleyball vs NAIT

The Clippers faced off against the Nait Ooks this weekend and opened up with a bang, starting the match Friday with big kills from Carlee Leclerc and Erin Anderson. Despite the quick start the Clippers soon found themselves on the wrong end of a long 9 point Ook run but dug in and rallied to put their own 7 point run together. The crowd got treated to some lengthy rallies in this set and after a few nice serves at the end from Leclerc the Clippers came away with a 26-24 win in a close game.

The next two sets were equally tight and showcased some great defense from the Clips, Brooke Peterson was keeping plays alive and Brianne Schenderling got an “oooh” out of the crowd on a great dig. Ashley Struber had a couple nicely placed kills and a big block at key times to keep the Clips in it but the Ooks would end up taking the next three sets 25-22, 26-22, 25-14. Saturday was equally as disappointing as the Clips would lose in straight sets. A tough weekend for the girls but one they will have to shake off and move on.
