I was born and raised in the small town of Killarney, Manitoba where St. Patrick's Day is almost as important as Christmas! And although it's been many years since I have lived in Manitoba I'm still ready to chant "Go Jets Go"! In fact, my husband Rick and I had our first date at a Jets game!
Biography
We moved to Caronport in 2004 to attend Briercrest Seminary, which I can honestly say were some of the best years of my life. The seminary provided me an opportunity to follow my passion in working with young woman in all three schools here on campus. For one year I acted as Resident Director for Caronport High School and as part of my seminary experiential integration I was given the privilege of working as a Chaplain's Intern at Briercrest College. While completing my education I was also able to act as Interim Seminary Adviser - another awesome experience! In 2009 I graduated with an M.A. in Leadership & Management. After 5 wonderful years of being so involved with Briercrest I couldn't imagine living and working anywhere else so my husband and I made the decision to stay in Caronport.
Favourite Caronport Passtime
Summer: Enjoying early morning coffee with my husband in our backyard! I love watching the finches, wrens and cedar waxwings and listening to the meadowlarks. The prairies are so peaceful!
Winter: Clippers volleyball games! Nothing beats the winter blues like cheering on your favourite sports team. As the women's team chaplain I am just a little bias!
